We wrap up the end of a decade at Surreal Studios.  Perfect. Big Alaskans doing BIG things!

Kurt started Surreal Studios 40 years ago in high school. Since then he, eventually with his wife, MJ Riemann, have provided Alaska national quality recording and production services.

We feature his Merry Christmas From Alaska CD series as an example. Partially because it’s the holiday season. But also because Kurt shows the creative versatility and generosity for his community in Alaska. Just typing the accolades gives me carpal! Plus if I get too sickeningly sweet, Kurt will go into a sugar coma!

Kurt and MJ share stories of Merry Christmas From Alaska and Surreal Studios. Fun listening!

Veteran’s Day honors people willing to raise their hands, swear to put their young lives on the line and risk not growing old.

The veterans in these pictures, although from different eras, have one thing in common:

They gave us the freedom to agree or disagree with each other. Because of them, they gave us the choice.

Download our Big Alaska Show podcast and meet these people. Then realize these are just a fraction of millions of humbling stories like these!

To our Veteran’s -THANK YOU!
