’60s Alaska Broadcast History

Teenagers! Rock ‘n Roll! Go-Go dancers! The Varsity Show was a one hour, local teen TV program that aired Saturdays on KTVA 11 in Anchorage in the ‘60s. Modeled after Dick Clark’s American Bandstand with a touch of Laugh-In design, these kids did it all from cameras to the commercials! Ron Moore, Mike and Mary Dougherty share their tales! Join us for some fun Anchorage broadcast history!
